Charlotte Piano Teachers Forum - Concerto Auditions

CPTF Concerto Auditions
DATE: Saturday, November 18, 2017
PLACE: Queens University of Charlotte, E.H. Little Fine Arts Center (corner of Selwyn and Wellesley Avenues)

There are six divisions: Primary (grades K-3), Elementary (grades K-5), Intermediate (grades K-7), Junior (grades K-9), Senior (grades K-11) and Graduating Senior (grade 12).
Entrants must play, from memory, one movement from a piano concerto.
Entrants must provide their own accompanists to play the second piano orchestral reduction.

There will be two judges in each audition room; winners will be decided without a final round.
CPTF reserves the right to withhold awards if no candidate shall be found deserving.
Winners must play in the Honors Recital on Sunday, November 19, 2017, in order to receive a monetary award or medallion.

Decision of the judges is final. Parents, students and teachers should not interact with the judges in any way regarding the outcome of the auditions before, during or after the auditions.

Upper Division awards range from $50-$150, depending on Division and 1st, 2nd or 3rd place. Lower Division top places will receive medallions rather than monetary awards.

A student who receives a Superior rating is considered very talented. The comments received from the judges are valued as the student develops his/her musical growth.

RATINGS:
